The Cinco de Mayo Film Fiesta commemorates Film Maker Efrain Gutierrez with screening of his latest docudrama "The Betrayal" and his first film "Please Don't Bury Me Alive" In Santa Maria, CA.  This is in honor of his first movie being inducted into the National Film Registry by The Library of Congress. It is sponsored by the American GI Forum of Santa Maria and LULAC Council #3252.

The UCLA Chicano Study Center will be hosting a screening and discussion with director Efrain Gutierrez and professor Chon A. Noriega on the First Chicano Movie "Please Don't Bury Me Alive". This is in honor of the movie being inducted by The National Library of Congress into The National Film Registry . The screening is sponsored by The Chicano Studies Department and the discussion will be following the film to discuss the options and opportunity for it's re-theatrical release.
